Reference Source Blog Post

A.The search terms I used in Reference Universe is "poison dart frog".

B. The book I found is called "Grizmek's Animal Life Encyclopedia". The author is Bernhard Grizmek. The publisher is Gale and the city it was published in is Detroit. It was published in 2003-2004. The call number is QL7 .G7813 2003 .

C. This book covers many things about animals/zoology. The book is in the format of an encyclopedia. It is organized alphabetically. A source like this would be useful if I need just broad, general information. The most interesting thing I learned is that the scientific name for the Golden Poison Dart Frog is Phyllobates terribilis. I found other sources of information, they include:

v. 1. Lowermetazoans and lesser deuterosomes / Neil Schlager, editor -- v. 2. Protostomes / Neil Schlager, editor -- v. 3. Insects / Neil Schlager, editor -- v. 4-5. Fishes I-II / Neil Schlager, editor -- v. 6. Amphibians / Neil Schlager, editor -- v. 7. Reptiles / Neil Schlager, editor -- v. 8-11. Birds I-IV / Donna Olendorf, editor -- v. 12-16. Mammals I-V / Melissa C. McDade, editor -- v. 17. Cumulative index / Melissa C. McDade, editor.

  1. Thanks for your post Tom. The golden poison dart frog is not the type of animal you want sitting on your lap. Be careful!

    Great job on the assignment!
